The company
What we are, and where we are.
CurioNext is DPIIT recognised and incubated through the IITM Incubation Cell, with two patents pending on the underlying work. The engineering happens at IITM Research Park.
We are building two different products around two different everyday needs: Curio X for child safety and well-being, and Vibe for sound awareness for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Both are designed to make useful technology feel natural to live with.
Safety, well-being and accessibility products need more than features. They need clear behaviour, thoughtful data practices, comfort and responsible design. We treat those as product requirements from the beginning.
A child should not have to wear something that feels clinical to be safer. A deaf or hard-of-hearing user should not have to adapt to an experience designed around hearing. The person wearing the product comes first.
Curio X and Vibe are both in development. We will share availability and final product details when they are ready rather than presenting unfinished work as something already on the shelf.

MoreCloseProducts connected to safety, well-being and accessibility have to earn trust. Privacy, clarity, responsible use and understandable product behaviour are design requirements, not language added at the end.
Wearability
Desirability is a reliability requirement.
MoreCloseA child is the wearer, so desirability is functional. If a safety wearable feels clinical or institutional, it gets left behind. Personalisation, playful interactions and gamification are part of making Curio X something a child wants to keep wearing.
Access
Accessibility is the specification.
MoreCloseVibe is designed around deaf and hard-of-hearing users from the beginning rather than adapted afterwards. Accessibility shapes the interaction, the feedback and the decisions we make about how the product should fit into everyday life.
